When you think “beauty industry,” you probably don’t think authenticity.
You think of photo filters, marketing hype, and ingredients you can’t pronounce.
But my conversation with Giella Poblocki, founder and CEO of GIELLA Custom Blend Cosmetics, completely flipped that script.
Here’s a woman who has spent more than 20 years quietly building a beauty business based on transparency, education, and integrity. She’s not chasing trends or hype. She’s doing the work. And in a world that’s obsessed with shortcuts, that alone makes her remarkable.
Giella isn’t just making makeup. She’s teaching women to think differently about what they put on their skin, what they believe about themselves, and how they show up in the world.
She reminded me that “clean beauty” is really about clean business.
It is about having the courage to be honest when others are not.
In our conversation, we unpacked why she insists on knowing every ingredient that goes into her products and why she teaches clients to read the labels too. She has built a brand that empowers instead of confuses.
And the more she talked, the clearer it became that her philosophy is really a leadership playbook.
We did get into ingredients because it matters. Mineral makeup that is truly mineral. Skincare that includes things like green tea, hyaluronic acid, and peptides for a reason, not as buzzwords. She explained how many mass products include slip agents and fillers that feel great in the moment but do your skin no favors. That is not a scandal. It is the truth. And consumers deserve the truth.
The bigger insight is this. Ingredient integrity mirrors brand integrity. If you cut corners in the jar, you will cut corners in the business. If you care about what goes on the skin, you will care about the person wearing it.
Giella and I also talked about mindset. Not the poster on your wall. The voice in your head. She uses affirmations, visualization, and consistent self-talk the same way she uses actives in a formula. Small, daily inputs that create real change over time.
Her line that stuck with me was simple. “You have to do the work.”
That is true in business. It is true in health. It is true in how you speak to yourself. You cannot out cream a negative inner voice. You can choose a better one and practice it.
Let me say this plainly. This is why Giella stands out.
That is not just good branding. That is integrity. That is also why it is the cosmetics and skin care company that I have personally used almost exclusively for over a decade.
If you lead a team, run a company, or are simply trying to build confidence you can feel, take this with you.
This episode is not about foundation. It is about having one. Personal. Professional. Internal. External. When you build with integrity, it shows up everywhere. And the bonus is that her skin care and cosmetics not only make you look good, they ARE good FOR YOU!
